Hi, I'm Aoife O'Leary.
I'm a film composer, artist, and producer from Dublin, Ireland.
My background is in bands and performance, and just one year after beginning to work in a DAW, I co- scored my first feature film, Cult Killer, starring Antonio Banderas.
The film went on to become a Hulu number one hit, and since then, I have worked on three more full-length films, including the crime action comedy Guns Up, starring Kevin James and Christina Ricci.
I achieved this without being able to read or write music, without a formal music education, and without knowing how to play an instrument - all of which showed me that there is more than one way to become a film composer
I created Intro to Scoring to support musicians and producers ready to break into film scoring - regardless of their musical background - and to guide them through the skills, processes, and creative decisions involved in scoring for film and TV.
